Welcome to Atma Daya – Yoga with Parameshwari

Now offering all classes, workshops, and private sessions in person or online through Zoom

Atma Daya translates to Soul Compassion. I feel a deep sense of compassion and want to connect with you at the level of the soul.

Hello Dear Ones

Spring is here! I hope it finds you well and the rogue “winter” storms aren’t too harsh on you. 2024 is progressing quickly as we enter April and celebrate the spring holidays. Don’t forget to reserve some “me-time”. The time change and resurgence of plants back to life are a metaphor for our own reawakening spirit. I hope you will join me for some classes and reawaken your spiritual connections.

The regular schedule of classes and workshops will continue for the foreseeable future. Whether it is a group class, or you would like to explore some private one-on-one sessions, Yoga Therapy is extraordinary preventive care. I focus on how yoga helps you stay active and well—or manage conditions. Here are some options:

I offer Chair Yoga classes on Mondays and Thursdays along with Gentle/Therapeutic Mat classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. See the Schedule page to learn more. By the way, if you know someone who would like to try out my classes, I am offering a first class free option. Please ask them to reach out to me.

Additionally, I still substitute teach online at my old Westchester (LAX area) California studio, LiveYoga Wellness. Watch their schedule for my other cameo appearances.

Our next Yoga Nidra (by donation) session will be on Sunday April 21. I also offer iRest (Integrative Restoration) Yoga Nidra in one-on-one sessions. Learn more about iRest Yoga Nidra here.

No matter where you are located, I can work with you so you can feel better today!

Om Shanti,

Deanna Parameshwari

From People I’ve Worked With

“I no longer have shooting or stabbing pains, constant aching or numbness…”
~Sandi Kaites-Wheeler

Atma Daya yoga online classes are absolutely healing and I consider my time with Deanna an essential part of my healthcare. I’ve found her to be a master teacher and healer. It’s amazing to me how she translates issues I’m feeling in my body into customized healing poses.  Deanna is also fun and down-to-earth with a great sense of humor, so her classes whiz by and end with happy students feeling so much better.

It is hard to explain in words how my quality of life has improved, and much of it because of Deanna’s classes.  I have incorporated many of the exercises into my daily life. I now look forward to going to the gym, going for a bike ride, taking our dog for a long walk, bowling, or doing a few laps at the city pool.  The highlight for me was going waterskiing again for the first time in 3 years, while on vacation in Florida last week.  I learned to waterski over 50 years ago and it was always a big part of my life.  I can now say it is again.
